The Agricultural Robotics Controversies
At FIRA, the debates are what drives us and robotics is one of the biggest topic in agriculture. Farmers, Robot Manufacturers, Students, Researchers... they all have their opinion, and we want to hear it.
Listen an important debate - and sometimes controversial - topics:
- Agricultural Robotics: to which agricultural and economic models are they suited?
- Robotized farmers’ dependence and autonomy
- Sobriety
The objective were to encourage World FIRA participants and agRobotics experts to critically examine competing ideas and positions, question established norms, and devise better-researched and fairer solutions.
With the participation of: Jean-Luc Picourlat - CEO | SOFTIROB - SOFTIVERT, Flavien Roussel - Marketing Content Manager | Naïo Technologies, Frédéric Robert - Head of the Territories and Transitions Division | GIP-LIA, Jean-Baptiste Keruzec - Farmer | GAEC LA SIRGARIE, Pierre Compère - Strategic adviser | Explicite Conseil

PANEL - Global market trends and opportunities: the Ag robotics scale up
The agricultural robots market is projected to grow from USD 13.5 Billion in 2023 to USD 40.1 Billion by 2028, at a CAGR of 24.3%.
With dozens of in-field robots models already in activity in Europe and worldwide (25 models in activity in France according to the Observatoire des Usages Numérique en Agriculture), panelists will share their visions:
- From the market analysis: key figures and trends that drive the market,
- From the dealers' perspective: their key role in the industry, and the potential businesses (crop types and functions),
- From the investors point of view: why are ag robotics start-ups so appealing to farmers... so it is for investors too!
