Exxact Robotics leverages robotics, artificial intelligence, optronics, mechatronics and data sciences to create precision farming solutions. The company specialises in viticulture and arable farming and has the capability to develop complete solutions from market analysis and design all the way through to pre-production and distribution to early adopters.
Some of the company’s recent innovations include:
- TRAXX — an autonomous straddle tractor
- TRAXX Concept H2, a hydrogen-powered autonomous tractor
- 3S Spot Spray Sensor® Technology
TRAXX Diesel-Powered Autonomous Straddle Tractor for Vineyards
TRAXX is an autonomous straddle tractor designed for narrow vineyards. The self-propelled, single-row high-clearance tractor is an innovative solution for winegrowers, combining performance, safety, reliability, durability and respect for the environment.
- The compact configuration allows TRAXX to adapt to a wide range of vineyards, while limiting soil compaction.
- Low-pressure tyres adapt to different types of soil to ensure better ground clearance.
- The ergonomic remote control offers simple, instinctive management
- A smartphone interface allows growers to monitor the tractor’s progress.
TRAXX is equipped with a 56-hp engine and a 110-litre diesel tank. It can work for 30-35 hours with a fuel consumption of 3-4 litres per hour and has high-sensitivity bumpers and LIDAR sensors for maximum safety in the field.
At World FIRA 2025, Exxact Robotics will present the new TRAXX Diesel range. The updated version is available in two track widths and has been optimized for both performance and safety. New features include a reinforced chassis and an optimised cowling.
TRAXX Hydrogen-Powered Autonomous Vineyard Tractor
Exxact Robotics will also exhibit its ground-breaking TRAXX Concept H2, the first autonomous vineyard straddle tractor powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. First presented at the World FIRA 2023, the TRAXX Concept H2 meets the growing demand for CO2-free agricultural solutions. In addition to the environmental benefits, the machine is quieter and can operate for up to 12 hours and recharge in only 15 minutes.
AI-Powered Precision Spraying
Exxact Robotics is a subsidiary of the Exel Industries group, an international leader in agricultural spraying. Its 3S Spot Spray Sensor® technology utilises cameras mounted on sprayer booms combined with real-time image analysis by artificial intelligence to detect weeds and modulate spraying. Power and communication cabling connects the cameras to a single high-performance central unit, providing a reliable system that is easy to maintain and simple to upgrade.
The 3S Spot Spray Sensor system offers significant advantages in terms of input reduction, precision, adaptability and sustainability. The system significantly reduces conventional chemical inputs thanks to specially-designed onboard sensors that enable precise, localised spraying. The farmer’s overhead costs and environmental impacts are drastically reduced, while potentially increasing crop yields.
